14th Week - as big as an Orange
So I have a little star growing in me. It's 14th week old.
Currently Malaysia is under MCO - Movement Control Order - due to Covid-19. A scary time indeed to be pregnant because you don't know how the future is like and scientists are still not that clear on how the virus would affect people in general as well as pregnant women.
But since we are already being gifted with this little surprise, we will do what we can in this unprecedented time.
Yesterday I did my first exercise since I have hit second trimester. Almost 30 minutes of yoga, mostly stretching. It felt so good on my body. I could feel my muscles unwind. All the sore spots got pulled in a nice way. The heat that got released from my body felt awesome too. Immediately felt better. Less nausea in fact. Hope that with this, I'm finally truly over from those nauseating weeks.
I also think I eat more now. And my tummy grew more. Sometimes it's quite horrifying to see my stomach because it got bigger and in my mind, I always feel like I'm getting fatter, having beer belly. I always have to remind myself, it's not me. It's the little star in me that's growing. Today my mum also mentioned that my stomach got big. Woots!
Today I feel slightly nauseous. Had waffle with nutella and banana and milk for breakfast. I can't wait to exercise in the evening to make myself feel better. Later I'm going to have laksa by mum. I LOVE LAKSA - PHO PHO STYLE!
I will update this blog as frequently as I can to document my journey of pregnancy as well as after pregnancy. Sometimes I would be writing in my hardcopy journal but I think I have not much patience in writing by pen. So...blog it is. Maybe my husband, Yang, would also update this blog from his POV sometimes. He is currently not staying with me due to virus circumstances - and I can't stand the smell of our room! Lol. So let's see how it goes. Hehe.
