Second Britannia clinic appointment - without Yang
I went for my second check up at Britannia. Without Yang. T-T. We decided its safer for him not to come just in case he couldn't go back due to the roadblocks. Really felt like living at a time of war. So he missed this Week 15 appointment experience.
When i went there, there were a few people waiting for doctor. Three. Then i was given a stick with a lot of testing sponge to pee on. So funny to need to aim at the thin stick and need to pee below the line. They said i can use the peeing plastic bottle but i think its so unhygienic because got people used before me! Tsk tsk. Almost can't believe it though. At a private centre have to share pee bottle.
I passed the stick to the nurse and was a bit horrified when she touched my pee. Lol. Weighed myself and i was at 59.5. I guess my weighing machine at home is not that accurate anymore? Blood pressure was fine. Pee result which they generate after sticking in the stick into a machine on the table showed im fine. Relief.
So i waited for doctor and tried to video call Yang. I wanted him to be with me too even though its in virtual world. Entered. Did ultrasound. And wow.. I can see baby! So developed already. Doctor showed the right and left hemisphere. Showed the butt. Showed the fingers and legs. Showed the stomach and heart. Then i asked whats the thing behind baby. He said thats placenta. :O i totally have no idea placenta is actually not encapsulating the baby. Its the embryonic sac only. Lol. So the placenta looks like a pair of wings behind of baby on 3D. Heard baby's heartbeat too. It was strong.
So doctor told me if i want to check for Down Syndrome or problem with neural tube, i can draw blood to test. My brain didn't process that fast that i can actually test just now. Lol. But i think part of me wants to discuss with Yang first. Whether we want to know. Its only 70% accuracy. After that, he gave me supplements. I said i am taking Blacksmores. He doesn't want me to eat that. I have no idea. He doesn't trust them. I hope he is not saying that because he wants to earn from me la. He looks genuinely horrified though. I also got calcium and iron pills on top of multivitamins pills. Total everything was rm270. Not too bad. I thought it would be more expensive because i had 3d ultrasound.
I hope during the next appointment, Yang can be allowed to come with me already. :) then we can reveal the gender of our baby!
Had meself McD double cheeseburger and fries. So satisfying haha. Eventhough its not that healthy for baby. But its good for my spirit. Hehe.
