Week 23: As big as a bunch of grapes
So, last week, Yang finally was able to feel the baby from outside my tummy! He had been trying a few times before that but got a bit disappointed haha. Now baby kicks a little harder than previously. Sometimes I could even feel my whole body moved to one side during the kicking. Enjoying those kicking, punching, rolling, hiccups time because they are still gentle on my body. Two days back too, I could differentiate quite certainly which is kicking and which is punching. The kicking one feels like coming from a bigger surface area. And also at that time, I felt like there is a kind of coordination whereby the right leg kick already then the left leg kick. Like got rhythm. Then the punching one can feel its from a smaller surface area. Like cuter feel. Hiccups is like constant jerking for maybe like 10 seconds.
I'm starting to start properly researching on the baby things I can buy. Then when some of them restock or have sales, I can attack! I received two newborn diapers from Mamypoko and I feel so excited seeing the little diapers! Didn't expect the diapers to be so small! I have never touched or carried or seen a new born before except on pictures and videos. So it would be my first time handling one in the near future! Kinda exciting.
The other day, we went to Citta Mall and passed by a baby shop. So dropped by for a bit to get an idea on baby things. Mainly to feast our eyes on their cuteness haha. Saw a realistic baby doll on one of the cribs and held it. Really felt so surreal looking at it, trying to imagine the real one. Yang also looked so surreal holding it on his arms. Like..suddenly it dawns on us that...omg...in a few months....THIS will be REAL!
Today I had my first TRUE heartburn. I think it was heartburn based on the symptoms. It was quite painful! I felt so much pressure on my oesophagus. Before I felt the increasing pain, my upper backbone was also in pain. Not sure due to my mattress or my sleeping posture. I may have slept on my back the whole night. Then the back of my right shoulder felt so sore I tried to massage myself which brought a little relief. Had headache too. Anyway, heartburn was totally caused by my overeating last night during steamboat at Fuliz's. Never ever gonna repeat that. I also drank two cans of HoneyB which might have exaggerated the symptom.
Tomorrow will be one of the most important doctor's appointment. Detailed Scan Appointment. Hope baby is okay! And hope I didn't gain too much weight! Also Yang will be coming this time! Yay! Finally! It would only be his second baby appointment throughout the whole pregnancy.
