Week 29: As big as a broccoli
I had my detailed scan appointment on the 19th of June 2020 at night. It was done by a Malay lady doctor who was not my doctor. The checkup was not as long as I thought it would be - only 30 minutes max. She checked on most physical parts of baby's body that can be checked through ultrasound. Started with the 3D ultrasound where I could see she has Yang's nose shape!! xD
After that she moved on to the black and white standard ultrasound. One cool thing I remembered was the shape of the heart. I could see the heart valves opening and closing and the muscle of the heart pumping. She said everything looks okay but this is only 60-70% accurate. Well, at least it's okay. Everything else was okay too including the amount of amniotic fluid inside and all. Things look good. I hope baby is fine in the end - mentally and physically. Lord, please bless my child with these.
We got a CD full of the scanning pictures today. CD! Gotta use some CD extension to open it. CD is so old school already. Lol.
Went back Kajang to stay one night. Then the next day, we went to Pantai Cheras Hospital to do my blood glucose test. Oh man. I hate the test! Not because I had to drink the yucky sugary drink, but the after effects of taking so much sugar at once. The doctor drew my blood before the drink. Then he said to come back if I vomited. In my heart, I was like, "Will be that kua cheong meh?" Little did I know! I started to feel nauseous, sweaty, dizzy and generally unwell. We went to EkoCheras to hang out and I was trying not to walk so much because I wasn't supposed to burn my glucose away by movement. Had to wait 2 hours so I slept at Old Town. Many other shops were still closed. Went back to take a second blood withdrawal. Lol. After one or two weeks, I called my clinic whether I passed my blood glucose test. Thank God I did! Phew.
I was supposed to go back for my next doctor checkup after a few days, but decided to cancel it because after warnings from Yang's mum, I kinda try to reduce ultrasound exposure that much on baby. Since I just did the detailed scan, I want her to rest before the next scanning. Also I can save money because it was kinda unnecessary.
Hmm...what else happened? Well, I had some period like cramps last week for a few days. Not sure whether it was because of the lemonade I drank. Probably it is. Hope it doesn't mean anything. Just a bit concerned if it is UTI because you can aggravate UTI when you drink citric acid drink. Was a bit worried as I didn't do my urine test about one and half month ago. Tomorrow will be going for my next appointment.
So from Week 28, I started to count baby kicks! She has been kicking and grabbing and elbowing and turning and stretching and all kinds of movement a lot. I always feel happy especially when I could feel her little fingers scratching my tummy. I could FEEL the fingers. Also I could feel the elbows. That one also I like because I can feel how tiny it is! XD Also, Yang finally could feel and see movements on my tummy already. Haha. But he is still a bit cannot feel the reality sinking in. Tsk tsk.
I started buying more of baby stuffs. Got all of baby clothes, baby car seat, baby milk bottles, baby milk storage bottles, baby nose syringe, pacifier, and baby bath shampoo! During the previous buy, I already got baby wipes, diapers, towels, handkerchiefs, detergent, bath toy. I am pretty excited to get the books for her. Haha.
These few weeks I have been having constipation and diarrhea. Alternate! Ugh. Now I'm at the constipation phase. Sigh.... Need to solve it asap. I don't want to poop so much on the labour table. Also I realise, baby could have come out end of August if she comes out on Week 37. I hope she doesn't but I also feel like come out earlier also nice. Haha. But it's better for her if she stays on to Week 40 la.
Still thinking of the name. Rin Rin?
Oh yeah, so with week 28/29, I am officially in my third trimester!!! Can't believe it. I do feel so big right now. Kinda heavy too. My weight is more than desired. Lol. Sometimes I do get pubic bone pressure pain especially in the mornings during waking up and after sitting for quite some time.
Oh, Yang and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary on the 6th of July 2020. Wanted to go Penang or Cameron Highlands but were discouraged by both sides parents. Sigh. So in the end, we went to Aquaria KLCC. It is somewhere that we had wanted to go. That would be baby's first trip!! After that makan at a Thai restaurant at Kuchai Lama and travelled to Dao for tau fu fah. Relaxing day.
