Week 36: As big as a Papaya / Chihuahua

Last week, I spent one week at Kajang house. Main reason was because Shah Alam house was sprayed with insecticides and pesticides at every corner of the house so I thought it would be safer for me to not be exposed to it when breathing (though I guess I breathed in some during the spraying). Packed most of the baby things that are needed in Kajang during confinement and headed back. Initially was driving Honda Insight, but discovered there was rat urine smell through the air vent. It was bad. Hope baby is fine. So we went back home to change to Papa's Tiguana.

So mum prepared lots of food for me, healthier food for me to control my weight. And I think it worked. I didn't gain any weight for two weeks (despite being constipated). I guess there was also less temptation for food back in Kajang because there are less unhealthy food around and no Yang to be my partner in food crime. ^^"

Simple but wholesome food

So that week, mum cleaned the washing machine to prepare to wash baby clothes. It's so cute to see Rin's little clothes hanging around, especially on the baby hangars we bought at DIY.

Still a lot to wash and arrange back at Kajang house. Hopefully things will be prepared before Rin's arrival. Shah Alam house too has a lot to be done yet especially the cleaning. But nowadays a bit lazy because I am feeling heavier and heavier. My pelvic is getting more strained and abused. Haha. But even though I am feeling discomfort and pain, I still enjoy the pregnancy and take things as they come. Not wanting to rush to give birth, but of course ideally I hope Rin will come out at week 38/39 so she wouldn't be too big. Did nothing much at Kajang house except to listen to baby stuffs. I took up prenatal class by Dr. Tan. I actually registered way after their closing date but I dropped a message asking whether I could still join. Thankfully, Dr. Tan was willing to accept me to this free class. Learnt a lot and asked some questions. If only I could have more time to take their hypnobirthing class but I guess it's a bit too late for it because I would have to practice by myself too for it to work. Would be a waste of money if I enrol now. So now I try to gather as much information as I could about hypnosis to lessen my pain during labour. Anyway, I have also packed some things for my hospital bags.

Michelle sent over some oranges, dragonfruit, rambutans and her MIL acar. Nice of her. I love especially the oranges!
Mum bought this postnatal care package from Anway as a gift for me. Not cheap! Actually only wanted the postnatal herbal pills but they don't sell separately. Hope this package is really useful :)

Went for week 36 checkup and thankfully Dr. Eee said my baby is at a good size. Again he mentioned her head proportion is smaller than the body and the leg. He said kinda like my figure la. Good size this time. Phew. Hopefully it stays good size in these coming weeks. Then he did vagina swab on me to check whether I got any bad bacteria at my vagina. Hopefully result is okay.

My tummy and centre look so ugly xD

Rin is still rolling, kicking and punching inside. It is also getting harder for me to turn my body around on bed. Sitting is also quite painful because I will feel the gravity when I stand up. Sitting on donut pillow and gym ball makes me feel better though. Since she is still at posterior position aka sunny-side-up, I am still trying to shift her around. Not slanting my body towards the back and trying to sit with body bending a bit forward or just straight. Also doing on knees and hands pose. So, baby R, please turn ya! :)

It's actually quite mind blowing to think that she will be here in 2 to 3 weeks. Maybe even next week! I can also see that reality is slowly settling in for Yang. We are also finalizing a little on Rin's name. We have decided to stick to the name Rin because we just couldn't feel her on any other name. Maybe because we have been calling her that for quite some time. It's hard to change now. Haha. So right now, appointment will be done weekly and my next appointment is in 3 days. Hopefully baby's size didn't shoot up because I have not been controlling my carbs that much when I come back to Shah Alam. :D

Till then!
