Sponge Bath

[9:13am]

Feels like another battle is over. Fed little Rei about 5 times at night. Not as bad as the night before because this time she managed to get more milk. I found some methods online to help reposition her latch without breaking it.

Mum slept with Rei as she was inconsolable

[11:37am]

Latching is sometimes a hit and miss. She likes to flail her head around when trying to aim for my nipple... sometimes she will head down..which I have no idea why. Look in front, kid! Lol! So I had to force her head still..which angers her. My left nipple is a bit blistered I think. Hope it recovers soon before the next session with that same breast. So far, little Rei is eating well. At dawn, she pooped her brownish greenish poo d. Wee... Supposed to meet Dr. Ian today but he has to cancel due to meeting. So we are meeting him on Thursday noon instead. I think little Rei is doing well though in terms of jaundice level. There should be some jaundice in her but because she is feeding well and we sun her every morning, I think the yellow colour on her skin is under control.

Yesterday she smiled a lot in her sleep. Got once she even laughed. I managed to capture it. :)
Little Rei can also be startled by loud noise.

Mum gave her a wipe down. Can't put her in the tub yet as we did not want to infect the cord.

Took bath!

[10pm]

Enjoyed looking at little Rei's face. She has lots of expressions. Haha.
Yang is coming tonight due to change of plan. Tomorrow we are bringing Rei for her paed appointment. Hopefully she is fine.

Gave her some brain-eye-stimulating pictures.
She seems to like it as she could focus on one pictures for like more than 5 minutes :)

Mum raised her voice after I tried to explain certain thing from my POV. Well baby was in the room too. Later on after feeding, she cried again and after figuring things out, I think she was affected by the shouts. So her stress level increased and was in need of cuddles. Carried her around singing talking cuddling then she was soothed till asleep. Have to be careful to not expose her to stressful environment. Dad was insightful. He said don't listen to the second sentences mum say. Just listen to the first one. Then you wont feel hurt so much. Okay. I'll do that. I was just foolish thinking I could try to connect with her my feelings and thoughts when everyone was at peace. I forgot.
